Agriculture and Mining

Minerals and other elements of nature are sorted by their use and appearance. To take the natural elements apart to try to discover their true nature is considered an unholy act: nature shows the creation of the gods, and it is not given to humans to destroy that. Some scientists who tried to find out what nature is made of, were seriously harassed by Naglani, who said no one should try to separate Alls splinter from the things that are.

Sorted by use means that catalogue have chapters on the use of elements, then tell what elements can be used for a certain purpose. As an example: most catalogue of plants have a volume “edible plants”, “sickening plants” and “deadly plants”. To make it easier to find an element in a catalogue, there is another system in use: it separates the elements on how they look like. This system is being modernised for use on an advanced Stafsferja, where a set of questions can lead to the right card. On this card is a number that indicates in which document the element is described in detail (what it looks like, how it can be used, where it can be found, what price is paid for it on the market)
