Gemstones

Gems are common in Daleth. In some regions they can be used as money, and everywhere they are jewellery of high value, especially when used with silver or gold. Most stones have a magic meaning and are used to heal people. This healing can be done by wearing the gem, consuming it or rubbing it. See the list for more details.

Korunth (or Tuggl)A stone available in many colours. The light shines through it even when unpolished. Korunth is well known, but rare and very expensive. There is no known medical use of the stone. Some Korunth are made into a kind of coins, used by traders.
HramstanA stone in various colours ranging from orange to green, red, blue and purple, with a cross of black in it. This is the stone of the Four Gods, as each part of the stone represents one of them. The stone is very rare, and never for sale (for the gods are not for sale). Examples of Hramstan can be found in temples. The stone calms down the one wearing it, and eases pains.
Jiu (or Alan)A yellow to green stone, common. It is easy to cut figures from Jiu, and that is done often. Jiu effluences fertility; many stones are cut into the form of Gräins, goddess of fertility. The stone is found in the southern parts of Daleth. The stone can be powdered, then put the Jiu-powder in boiling water. The rising damps should be gathered, then cooled so they turn once more into liquid. The liquid is then boiled again, until half of the contents of the bottle have vaporised. What is left, should be drunk by the patient.
HiminstA half-opaque bright blue stone, found around Kristalmeer. The stone gives strength to the wearer. The stone is popular as a wedding present to the groom. There are also many Himinst (among other stones) in the golden crown of the Emperor of Daleth.
Spaihts and EiszpaihtsBright stones in different colours; they are very beautiful when polished. The Eiszpaihts is a stone that is white or colourless as ice. The stone is found in rivers and brooks, and hardly in the mountains.
Spaihts of all colours are used as lucky charms, are popular as gifts, and prevent children from illnesses. The Eiszpaihts is good for the eyes.
KarfonkA very hard red stone that heals the hurting heart when worn and clears the blood from diseases when the skin is rubbed with the powder of the stone. The stone is found in all mountain regions, but is rather difficult to find.
The stone is said to work as an aphrodisiac as well, but how that is done is kept secret. But then, who does not want to love someone so rich (s)he can afford a Karfonk?
TundstainsA rather soft yellow-to-brown stone, that seems to burn when the sun shines on it. It has strange figures in it, sometimes, as creatures captured in the stone. The stone is common in the northern parts of Daleth, especially in the Taycha. The stone can be melted, and the stuff that is left after melting can heal many diseases and cure wounds.
