Minerals

Of all minerals, the coal is the most important. It never was, but since it is discovered that steamengines run very well on coals the coalmines and the coaltrade have undergone a dramatic growth. Most coalmines are found in Sterrenbos.

Metals

Ironore, Copper, Lead, Tin - All these metals can be found in Daleth. Many of them are found in the Black Mountains. Since steam engines are more common, there is a need for high quality metals.
Gold - The most expensive metal of all. It is found in the mountains rimming Kristalmeer.
Silver - The best-known silvermines of Daleth are situated in Ciniz.

Stones

Sand - Sand has many purposes: building houses and roads are the most important. The sandmines are found in Salamandran, near the ruins of Vameir
Stone - Stone is the best building material in Daleth. There are various kinds of stone, and they are usually named after their colour: white stone (chalkstone) yellowstone or redstone (sandstone), blackstone (granite), bluestone (schist), among others.
Clay - Of course, clay is found as a sediment on the rivermouths. It is mostly used for pottery, but also for arts and decorations. Baked clay kan also serve as a bullet, shot from a catapult.
Gems - For jewellery and gems see the special page on these items.

Others

Salt - Salt is not only found in dried seawater, but also in the earth. There are small saltmines in the Taycha, near Zol-Marekat. Some pieces of salt are hard as stone and used for carvings. They last until they get wet.
Oil - An oily substance is coming from the mountains in the south-eastern parts of Overveer. These Black Lakes are very dangerous, because they are highly inflameable. The oil drawn form these lakes is not for consumption, but to burn (warfare) and some scientists use it.
Ice - Not really a mineral. Ice is cut away from the soil in the Icy Regions. Large amounts of ice are transported elsewhere, where the ice is kept in large icecellars to keep food and drinks cool. The larger the cellar, the more ice it can contain, and the longer the food keeps cold. Ice is gathered in the winters as well; large villageponds are made to collect the ice.
