Marstone

These stones are in the landscape of Daleth. It is told that whoever stands on one of these stones is bound to speak the truth. Many of these stones are found on the sites of the Naglani Thyngs. Courtrooms throughout Daleth are actually build on such stones, though modern judges don't take the legend serious and don't expect their witnesses to tell the truth.

On markets in the Kungsfelthan of Ildritz they sell pebbles that once were part of Marstones (or truthstones as they are also called). If you get one of these pebbles and put it in the clothes of someone, then ask that someone a question he is bound to speak the truth. According to some, the stones need a "loading ritual", in which the power of truth is distributed in the stone. The ritual involves blood, alcohol and the tongue of a peacock and the help of Vaya-Marei.

The traditional crown of the Emperor of Daleth contains a part of a Marstone, cast in gold. When the emperor is judging, the person he is judging is asked to touch the crown.
