Lord Rowwens Guide to Dalethian Guesthouses

I am Lord Rowwen of Vimeir. I travelled through all of Daleth and have been into many of the so-called hostels. I warn you, traveller, not to enter each hostel with great expectations. The food is bad, the innkeeper is unkind, the barmaids are ugly and the beds are - how shall I put this - alive. Of course the odd good inn is to be found somewhere, but you have to look for it.
So here, young unexperienced traveller, I have put down my knowledge of many Dalethian hostels, inns, guesthouses, and other places they expect you to spend the night. Take care.

First of all, I warn you against the “The Weapon Of ...” guest houses. They are to be found in every city. If you can sleep elsewhere, avoid them. They are full of noisy peasants and messengers and merchants. As these guest houses are always in the gong of a city, you have to pay taxes, which makes a stay expensive. The food is standard, and they don’t serve any decent wine. It appears as if anything that happens in a “Weapon” is controlled by the Emperor and his troops.
The rooms are small, and the beds have no curtains. You have to sleep with up to ten people in a room if you can not afford your own room. Some rooms are heated, most of them are not. There is no room service. You can not get paid company. They call the cops if you have such company in your room. However, they do not call the cops if you are robbed in your room. Probably because it was the innkeeper who stole your goods.
