Time and tideThe time in Fanigawi has been structured by the tides. A day last from one flood till the other. Day and night are not regarded. Living by the tide seems necessary because some fishing can only be done during the flood. The harvesting of some plants can only be done in the low tide. The tide is split in smaller parts: towards low tide, low tide, from low tide, dead tide, towards flood, flood, from flood, new day. There are about twelve, thirteen tides in one of our Menoth. Every once in a while an extreme high flood sweeps the lands. This is a period of fear, but immediately after the high flood, festivities are held to celebrate the harvest the God of the Ocean has spread over the beach. There is no definition for a year, but something to keep track of years is found in the festivity of the First Caenquryche. Lives are approximately counted by the times the person in question has been at the festival.
