Lhympper: The White Ladies Rock

Lhympper is a small town, west of Faunès. It is situated on a cliff that borders the sea. It is the only cliff along the coast of Fanigawi. The cliff is approximately 5 fathoms high. Even centuries ago, a kite has been on top of the cliff.
There is the following legend that is about Lhympper:

“Once, the White Ladies lived in a castle upon the rock. They were very pretty and unmarried. Many men, usually sailors, came to the castle to meet the ladies. They left in the morning, and promised to be back on their next journey.
And so, on a night when Lukarna showed her full face, it happened that all of the ladies, all ten of them, became pregnant. They didn’t know at first, but in a few menoth they were sure they were expecting a baby. They sat at the windows and waited for the sailors to return. It turned to winter, it turned to spring, and finally, the sails on the horizon promised the return of the men.
But as the sailors arrived, the babies were already born. Sixteen babies there were, all healthy and complete.
“Look,” the Ladies said to the men, “There are your babies.”
“No they’re not,” said the men. “How can you say? You had so many men, you have had others before and after us.”
“They are yours,” the ladies said again.
“Would I do this if they were mine?” one of the men said. And he took a baby, and threw it out the window. Then he took another, and threw it out just the same way. The babies fell down the cliff, into the sea, and to this day, their crying can be heard.
The ladies, they cried too. They cried very long, and turned into stones, but kept weeping. And you still can see them, ten standing stones, with a pool of salty tears at their feet.”

The story seems to refer to the times where Naglani traded with the Fanigawi people. On the rock used to be a Naglani settlement, and it is known that Naglaniwomen throw their unwanted eggs from this cliff. The sad crying of the gulls that is common in this place is explained by the legend, just as the standing stones around the pool - that could have been the ancient Naglani thyngplace. A longer time ago, this rock might have been part of an isle.
