Theatre

Theatres are to be found in any major city (Ildritz, Nieuw-Gamoor). The plays are popular with the elite, who like a good night out, with dining, theatre and supper. The picture shows the billboard for Liufs Sware, the best play ever on stage in Daleth - or so the players and directors say. The picture gives a good view of theatreart; the crucial scene from the play is on the picture. Everybody knows the story of the play, so it is not a spoiler. What counts in play is the performance, the decorum, the dresses, the actors.
Off-stage theatre is performed at fairs and markets. The travelling actor companies know a lot of traditional plays, but don't dare to play the modern plays as are staged in Ildritz. The companies travel through the whole of Daleth, including Overveer. The Taycha is usually not included, for the Naglani have their own entertainment (see Play in the leisure chapter).
The best known actors are Grania Berstô, Juive Karrang, Deemoed iz-Solmer and Heklan Ver.
