Against Dragon Hunt

It is still allowed to kill dragons in Daleth. The Law has it that no one needs permission to hunt dragons. However, another law tells us that it is not allowed to kill animals that are almost extinct.
Dragons haven’t been seen in Daleth for a very long time. If there are still any left, we can easily say they are nearly extinct. So why are they not on the list of protected animals? Are they still so dangerous they are not allowed to live in our land? Are we still so afraid of them? Who can tell that he or she has been serious in danger because of dragons?
It’s all sentiment and nonsense that dragons are outlawed. Whenever a dragon turns up, there are plenty of possibilities to get it back to where it came from without killing it and without putting people in danger. No dragon has taken siege over a city in the last centuries, the species is afraid of cultivated areas. And whenever a dragon is about to attack, there is still the possibility to kill it without permission in a state of self-defence.

With supporting the “Committee for the return of the dragon” (CROD) you help us get the dragon back in Daleth’s fauna. The majestic animals should have their realm back in our deep forests and the high mountains. People should be amazed again as a dragon takes of from a cliff and is airborne like gracious bird.

The dragon has a right to revive from the legends. We should be cleared of prejudice. No more nonsense of reckless, dangerous dragons that take our gold and virgins, but a more scientific approach towards the largest animal that has ever roamed Daleth. Respect for nature and the animals our gods have created. The natural balance will return when the dragons have returned, and the gods will be pleased.
The burden of a dragon can never be a large as the revenge of our gods for what we did with their creations.
