Voldex

There are no known dragons in Daleth, but closest to this is the Voldex, the flying lizard. It is a lizard of about a handspan long with wings like a bat. The voldex is brown to green, with little reptile yellow eyes. The wings are usually a shade of grey. The voldex can hang upside down with each of their four legs, but they usually just hang on vertical rocks.
The voldex live in eastern Salamandran. They have their nests on mount Funins, where the heat of this volcano keeps them vivid. On warm days, they fly to the high bank of the Wyz river to find their prey (mostly mürq and other insects). They can stay into the evening hanging on the rocky bank, for the stone holds the heat very long. After that, they fly home to mount Funins in large flocks.
The voldex lay eggs in their nests. These nests hang from the roofs of caves and are made of hair, grasses and mud. Each voldex has its own nest, but these nest can be clustered like one big nest.
The voldex is not a dangerous beast. Legends have it that the voldex steals money that is unguarded, but there is no sign that this is true.
