A small bird that lives on the plains, usually near settlements and farms. It has grey with red wing- and tail feathers. The beak is small like that of other corn eating birds. The eggs are small and have greenish shell. The nests are in high trees like pepples. There are up to 200 nests in a single tree, the ground beneath the tree is white with shit and nothing will grow there for years. Eventually, the tree dies from the pollution at its roots. The ptitsij is probably the most dreaded bird in Daleth, or rather: birds. The ptitsij always comes in big lots. The plural and the single noun for this bird is the same, no one has ever spotted a single ptitsij - unless it was dead. The ptitsij have the habit to attack people in large flocks. These flocks also attack the fields, destroying the crop as they do so. They leave the field empty as they fly away. The only thing that scares the ptitsij is (the) Molik. Related topics: |
