Banjafojl

BanjafojlThe Banjafojl is a colourful bird. It comes in the summers to the coasts Daleth and is caught by bird trappers. The birds are sold to miners. The banjafojl is suppose to bring luck to the miners where they are under the surface of Airtha.
The bird has a specific use as well: it goes caged into the mines with the miners. When the air gets bad, the bird will notice and dies. The miners have the time to leave the shaft before they die. The dead birds are buried, but their feathers are used to make lucky charms for the miners - the charms are not as good as the living bird, however.
Some miners claim the banjafojl predicts the future and they will show you what the bird does and what it means.
Because of its beautiful colours and the luck bringing aspect of its appearance, the banjafojl is in fashion in Ildritz. The bird is kept in cages in the palaces, and the feathers are used in dresses.
