You are very welcome to comment the Dutch Courage novel as a test-reader. You can download the previews and comment them, or write an email and ask for the more updated or full version of the novel.
Comments can be given via email or in the coffeeshop.
What kind of test-reading is there to be done?
Most important: it should be tested if readers like the story enough to finish reading it. And if not, what went wrong?
Second: does the story make any sense? Is there enough logic in it to understand what’s going on? Are the jokes, puns and situations understandable or do you just don’t get the point of them?
Third: The usage of words. There is a lot of slang in the story, some invented words, some Dutch words, some dialect... is it clear what is meant, or did you have to consult a dictionary more than a few times?
Fourth: Grammar, spelling, typos: I can oversee them, if test readers find such errors, I would be very glad if they reported them.
Fifth: One cannot argue about style, but if things get unreadable because of style-errors, they should be noticed.
The story is provided “as-is”. If you don’t like the subject of it or the setting, it is no use complaining. I can’t change the whole story just because a test-reader doesn’t think it is what he expected it to be.What do you get in return for being a test-reader?
