During the realm of the Great Emperor Escolar III, men were send to the borders of the Empire to put up large stones as a sign for the frontier of the realm. They got a cart and horses and food for a menoth, and were supposed to move on until they could go on no more. There, they should place the stones, thus forming the official border of the realm, the frontier of the Emperors power. In the West, no stones were placed: the sea was and still is the frontier. About the stones in the south, nothing is known. Probably they ended up under the sand of Wythviz or were moved by the Lubanian. The coat of arms of the Dalethian Empire was placed on the stones. The Red Hruk was placed on a field of gold, this gold was real. Poor adventurers have been known to move into the wildest frontiers of the realm to look for the gold. It is unknown whether they ever found some. Nowadays, frontier stones are placed near the hindairus, to indicate the hindairus is officially outside the laws of the empire. Related topics: |
