Laushof

Click to see the head The Laushóf is a bird, pretty similar to a chicken. A chicken without a head, that is. The Laushóf has on its head a bunch of large feathers that cover all of the head, including the eyes and the beak. The bird is not able to see where it goes, and makes a chaotic impression.

The race has been bred in De Erflanden for aesthetic purposes, and for the flesh. It tastes a bit like Hun and is often sold as Hun-flesh. The eggs of the Laushóf are like normal chicken-eggs. Laushófs are still common in Haimothli and surrounding areas.

People do say that Laushófs are very much like the politicians that gather in Haimothli when the Emperor will read the Declaration of Affairs on Harvestday. Some heads will roll on that day (in a manner of speaking), but the politicians seem to walk around as headless even before the event.
