The large town of Ildritz, with all its palaces, has attracted many poor youngster. The peasants that were hungry, the soldiers who had lost the battle, the left alone lovers, they all came to Ildritz to experience the eternal joy in the city. The dream of an endless good time, fuelled by the money of the noblemen or the emperor himself, blossomed well in De Erflanden, and many came, but few survived. The Pearl on the Nordan proved to be a lady with bad attitude, preying on the poor who fled in her arms, leaving them behind without hopes, dreams or a future. One of these victims of Ildritz was Javin, youngest son of the Mulinzol carpenter. He went to Ildritz to escape the harsh treatment his father gave him, and fell into the black pit of the Kungsfelthan, where he wrote the following poem. Eternal Joy (we waited) We went into the big town, the great town, The city named Eternal Joy with toys for the boys And glamour for the girls in gaslight and and and And we waited for the world to begin there And we waited for the night with its splendour And stars on stages and in the joy filled sky But the hungry darkness came, and we waited Waited for the excitement and joy to come over us But nothing happened. We waited And the world turned around us Around every corner was the joy The bliss, and the silver light of life But only around the corner: in shadows And darkness we waited and life passed by We were forgotten and left behind in a city Called eternal joy for no apparent reason at all Javin died of a fever at the age of 20 in the Kungsfelthan. His dwelling was a small roof with down hanging curtains which kept out the worst cold. It was next to a brothel and a purple lady from that house found his poem written on the wall with cheep chalk, right above Javins body, that was covered in nothing but the smell of bad Aelçim.
