Fanigawi

Climate

It seems to rain every day in Fanigawi, although most days start promising, cloudless, sun lighted.
In summer, the morning sun causes the water to vaporise and form a layer of fog of about 4 feet high. These mists will fade away in the rain soon after. Most rain falls in spring and summer. Floodings are normal during the rain season, so are thunderstorms and whirlwinds. It might even rain frogs.
In summer with a wind from the south, the air gets very hot and damp.
The autumn has the best climate for visiting Fanigawi. There might be fog throughout the day, but it is comfortably warm and drier than in any other season.
A cold stream with the occasional icebergs hits the Fanigawi coast in winter. Combined with a strong northern wind that blows away the fog, a very cold winter might be expected. The water of Fanigawi freezes over, and most transport is done by foot then, on the ice of the river (sometimes with skates and sledges). However, with snowfall, the river roads become inaccessible and villages will be isolated until spring. Sledges are useless, because under the snow, the ice might be thin and dangerous.
