Ancient history

Not long ago, everybody thought the Giants were the first inhabitants of Daleth, along with the Naglani and the Sudzi.
When professor Zuchstaba finally deciphered and translated the language and characters of the Giants, he discovered one of their oldest towns was named Qryathorbot, meaning “Nearby Ruins”. Since then, archeologists and historians wondered what ruins were mentioned; there were no other ruins than those of Qryathorbot to be found.
A couple of years later, a young Arlo Paran found the remains of a very old city, covered with layers of sand and dust, partly under the ruins of Qryathorbot. The ruins were very different from those of the Giants, so it was expected that a different people lived on that place long before the Giants did. The hunt for more evidence was opened.

The following ancient history is the most probable from all histories suggested in the salons:

A very long time ago, Daleth was a flourishing country. There lived Naglani north from the borders of Daleth, and Sudzi to the east. In Daleth a mighty people lived, with at least one big city and fertile farmlands.
One or more objects from the sky then hit the world, and the world changed and turned a wrong way. The north became very cold, and Naglani moved to the south; the east became arid and Sudzi moved west, where they met the Naglani and joined them to overthrow the people that lived in Daleth. These people of Daleth, whose name is unknown, where killed in the attack or moved elsewhere, maybe further south, maybe across the western sea.

Some scientists have suggested, this unknown people were the gods; the gods that moved into Daleth through one of the Portals and brought an excellent technology with them. The question is, why this advanced people couldn’t win the war against the Naglani and the Sudzi, who were less developed...
The people from the lands across Wythviz might be the offspring of the unknown people. Like them, they have a technically advanced society, and some decorations in art and architecture show some resemblance. There is no prove of this hypothesis, however.

Naglani stories relate from ancient times, when the Naglani lived in Winter (now also known as Trigohaima, "Home of the Tears"), a cold, icy, snowy place, and how they left those region to build a new life in the south, where they learned how to grow crops and to build houses. Sudzi have similar stories, but those are less known; they have a holy sound in them - after all these are the tales of the ancestors of the Sudzi.

Somehow, the truth about this era will always be covered with layers of time...
