Jack-O'-Lantern

(The dwaallicht)

Across the moors
In fog filled glades
A man stands lighting
Up against the night
A lantern in his hand

He guides your way
To a treasure drowned
In ancient times
In night and mist
The lantern unveils
The swamp and sands
As Jack dances
Over puddles and pools
He guides your way
To a treasure drowned
In ancient times
Oh his evil tales
Are never told
And kept secret in the moors
He opens trapped doors
And smiles as death himself
He guides your way
To a treasure drowned
In ancient times
It is nearly dawn
And day breaks through
An orange cloud
The treasure sparkles like the sun
In bright golden rays

And Jack points down
To the water black and
Waveless, a sea of memories
The treasure so burning close
It is yours to get
He misguided your way
As the greedy drown
You made his day
